robo's homeThe home of the robots

Travel to 2300 AD. Here you will find the Geno Dome, where the town of Choras should be. This dome is locked tight, unless of course you have Robo leading the party. This is where he was created, and you cannot enter without him leading the party. The other members should be Magus and Ayla.
robo's home
Robo will open the doorway inside, where a voice will greet you. This voice is the Mother Brain, and calls Robo Prometheus. Enter through the door, and you will step on a conveyor belt. While riding the belt, you will have several battles to face with Debuggest and Proto 4's. These guys are weak to lightning, so have Magus cast Lightning 2 each round. And have the others hit with their strongest techs.
robo's homeWhen you get through the endless sea of enemies on the belt, the Mother Brain will congratulate you on making it, and taunt you into getting to her.
After shes done rambling, head into the next room. Here in front of you, you will see what is known as a charge pod, sitting next to the door. You can't open doors here without a charge. But you need to open the pod. Hit the red switch next to it, and then walk towards the left.
Head to the north, and over to the right. You will see several Proto $'s hanging around this area. Do not fight them just yet. Watch them, and one will charge up, and head towards you. Follow it to the pod you opened, and he will open the door next to it. This is how to get the doors open. Inside the room you will get 50,000 G and a Full Tonic.
Now head back to the other Proto 4's and defeat them. Something will then click.

Get the Full Tonic from the chest, and take Robo over to the control panel on the right. Here you will learn everything you want to know about the robots, what has happened, as well as how to get through the factory. Read up on everything, then head through the door to the left of it. Defeat the set of laser guards here, and go up to the three switches. Hit them to where the middle is green, and the others are red. This will open the charge pod for the door to your left.

Now head back to the charge pod by the control panel. Charge Robo up, and run to the pod you just opened. This will open the door, allowing you to get the Poyozo Doll. Search the green area in there for a Speed Tab.
Ok, I bet you have seen the robot guarding the other doll to the south of here. No matter what you do, he will not let you pass. There is a bit of a process in getting him to let you through. Go back to where you entered the room, and head to the right. Here you will notice a door, and a shiny dot across from it. The dot will take you back to the conveyor belt in the beginning. You can fight through the enemies on the belt and return an endless amount of times. This is a pretty descent way to gain some quick levels and techs for your party. But we will head through the elevator door on the left instead.
Inside you can use the save point if you need it, but do not go any further that way yet. Instead, enter the door beside the elevator. Find a Speed Tab on your right side. Now head north, and take the other elevator back down.
Now head down to the belt, and deactivate the laser. An alarm will go off and, you guessed it, a fight will ensue. After taking care of business, head to the top again. Go through the wall on the left and around. Hit the switch on the wall to change the direction of the conveyor belt.

Now head back to the charge pod by the control panel. Here is where it is tricky, and might take a couple of times. You need to charge Robo, and race to the door on the left hall, across from where the laser beam was shut off. You get maybe a half a second longer than the charge will last to get there. By now all enemies should have been defeated in this area. If they have not, make sure to get them out of the way. They will definitely prevent you from getting there on time.
Once you open the door, it is time to play follow the leader. Have the Proto 4 follow you to the Proto4 guarding the doll. when the two come together they will both short out, and you can get the doll and the Vigil hat.
Now return to the elevator, and save your game at the save point. Now head south and around, and Robo will come across a female robot. She apparently knows him, and tries to convince him to hand over the humans and rejoin he and Mother Brain. Robo is not having it, and a fight will ensue.

Boss Fight: Atropos
robo's home
This is a fight between Atropos and Robo alone. Use your Robo Tackle, since it will damage just as much as any other tech, and will cost less MP. Atropos has the same attacks as you, so keep an eye on your health. If it begins to get low, use Cure Beam to get some back.
Atropos will use a final attack that will not do too much damage, and is similar to Robo's Area Bomb attack. The battle is actually simple enough to do without too much worry.

Robo will not gain anything in the fight, but he will get a nice upgrade from Atropos, after a touching conversation.

After that, save and heal if needed. Now return to where you fought Atropos. Have Robo hit the panel on the north wall, and collect a MegaElixir and Magic Tab from the chests. Now head to the left, and down the ladder. Grab the 15,000 G from the chest on the left. Head up and inside the door. Here you will see people being destroyed like old garbage. Head through to the other side and out the south. Grab the Full Ether, and return to the main walkway above.

You will now find a sealed door with two green dots on either side. walk up to each and place the two dolls on them. This will open the door, and you will then find the robot behind everything...The Mother Brain.
robo's home
She will try again to get Robo to come back to her, and help her destroy the humans for Lavos to survive. Of course Robo will refuse, and a fight to the death will follow.

Boss Fight: Mother Brain/Control Panels
robo's home
Ok, here is the 411 on the Mother Brain. She is surrounded by three control panels that heal her 1000 HP from each panel, each turn. You would think to just get rid of all three, but don't. If you do, Mother will becomes a most difficult enemy. She will launch a retaliation that can wipe your party out!
Instead, take out the two side panels, and leave the one behind her. Now that that is done, focus everything you have on the Mother Brain. But make sure not to use techs that target multiple enemies. Triple Kick, Robo tackle work really well here. Have Ayla charm another Blue Mail from your dear mother as well. She will not last long in the battle, providing you are doing more than 1,000 HP damage each turn. If you are not, you will not be able to beat this boss. So make sure you are doing that. If not reload a game, and go through the conveyor belt in the beginning from the dust chute a few times. This should help greatly.

Now that Mother Brain has been defeated, the factory is sealed. People will now have a chance to live on their own again in this time. Robo will get a gift or two as well. He will get his Crisis Arm and Terra Arm, his most powerful weapons in the game. You have just saved the future from extinction. You could be proud!
