 This is where the plays are held in the Gold Saucer. However the only time there is something going on here is during your date with Cloud. Also you can only participate in the date if you go with Aeris, Tifa, or Yuffie. Barret has nothing to do with this nonsense!
You are also able to screw up the play if you would like, or go with it the way it is supposed to be. I suggest saving, and trying it both ways. The outcome of the screw-ups can be hilarious!
*Note* Screwing up the play in no way changes the storyline or the game. It is all in the name of fun.
