birth by sleep command board

birth by sleep command boardThe Command Board is a mini-game found within Bith By Sleep. You can play inside the Mirage Arena, or at any save point. The difference is, you can only gain the Rare Commands from the save points. This is like a board game, where your chosen character matches up against 1-2 other characters. The characters you face are determined by the board you chose. For instance, in the Spaceship Board you will play against Experiment 626 and Captain Gantu.
Once you have selected a board, you then need to select what the GP (Gold Points) goal to win is. Most boards have 3 different choices, but some have more. Once this is done, you will be asked if you wish to shuffle the players turns. (You will always start out as the first to go) It really does not matter whether you are first or not. You can be last, and still come out ahead in the game. When all of this is done, you will begin the game.
The boards are set up in panels. As you land on these panels, different things will occur.

Command Panel:These are the most common type of panels. If you land on one of these, you have the option of purchasing the panel. You will then set the card of your choice down upon it, and it will turn into a owned panel. Anyone who lands on it from then on has to pay the cost that is shown. If you land on your own panel, you are given the option of leveling it up, which also costs GP.
If you land on a opponents Command Panel, you are given the option of purchasing it. This however will cost a large sum of GP, and can easily drop you from 1st, into 2nd or 3rd.

Checkpoint Panels:These panels are found in various places on the board. When you land on one, you are given a bonus amount of GP. Then you are given a Command Card, if you can carry one. Also you will be given an opprotunity to level one of your panels up. Once you have landed on all four, you can cross over the finish panel. If you are still not high enough to win the game, you are given bonuses to how many panels you own, as well as laps. Then your cards will be completely filled back up. This is the fastest way to gain mass amounts of GP, and you should work to make it to all four and back as often as you can.

Prize Cubes/Damage Panels:Prize Cubes are the panels that travel over the flattened panels, called Damage Panels. When you use a Prize Cube, you will see a number inside a white star. As you travel, this number will count down. Once it reaches 0, you will be rewarded with all the GP that has been taken in that area. If you land on a damage panel, you have to pay the toll shown on the panel. (This is where the prize GP comes from).
Also if a player is on a cube in the middle of the path, and another rolls enough to pass them, they will continue with the Prize Cube, while the one standing on it is knocked off. They will then have to pay the toll of the panel they are on. The cubes only go in one direction or the other. So you should watch and see where they are before traveling in their direction.

Bonus Panels:There are two of these in each board, with different effects per board. If you land on a special panel, you will get the unique event to occur. This event may either help or hinder your progress. Here are the known characters and their events:

Experiment 221: "Gigawatt Jolt": Allows the player to steal GP from nearby characters. This can occur when they or the player land next to each other.

Fairy Godmother: "Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo": Gives the player the value of a single dice roll times 300 GP.

Rabbit: "Hunny Hunt":Awards player 500 GP and places pots of Hunny over the game board that can either give you GP or, if they have Honey Bees, take away GP points.

Chip and Dale: "Fantasia": Rewards 300 GP plus an additional 300 GP for every space owned.

Tinker Bell: "Pixie Dust" Allows you to move an opponent to any panel you want.

Terra, Ventus, or Aqua: "Keyblade Glider" allows the player to move to any spot on the game board.

Captain Justice: "Captain Justice":He will follow a player, either rewarding GP every turn or purchasing a square cheaper than its normal cost, placing a card on it for free. He will follow a different player if they come in contact with him first. This effect eventually wears off (Can be found on any board and in Western releases) and unlocks Pete as a D-Link.

Captain Dark: "Captain Dark": He will follow a player, either stealing GP from them every turn or purchasing a square and paying more than its normal cost. If the player cannot afford either action they will have to sell squares. He will follow a different player if they come in contact with the first. This effect eventually wears off (Can be found on any board and in Western releases) and unlocks Pete as a D-Link.

The first is the command panels. you need the cards in order to purchase the panels. If you place two of the same cards in panels next to each other, a bonus will occur giving a higher toll to the two.
