Rumble Racing

birth by sleep rumble racingRumble Racing is fun mini game that can be played in either the Mirage Arena or in Disney Town. If you are playing as Terra, he needs to win a race, in order ot pass Disney Town. If you play in Disney Town, you can acquire prizes for beating the courses, as well as unlocking new tracks with high enough scores. In the Mirage Arena, you do not get the prize bonuses, but you will be awarded medals depending on how well you do. You can also gain Arena levels by beating the target times listed in the Mini Game section of the Reports Menu.
Gaining a victory in Rumble Racing is determined by many different factors. Choosing the right course, and using your attacks quite liberally. Any chance you get to attack, take it. Knocking someone with your weapon slows them down. On any sharp turn, holding the and at the same time will get you ahead as well. Also pressing the Accelerator button just before the 1 on the countdown fades out before GO!, allows you to gain additional speed over everyone else.

It is not simply get to teh finish line first. You have the abilities to knock you opponents down. Though youy do not kill them, it is worth the effort of completing each race track. Here is the list of commands you have available to you in Rumble Racing.
: barrier
: Air Gyre (Ventus)
: Brake
: Accelerate

There are several different ways to help succeed in Rumble Racing. Your biggest focus should be to go through as many booster rings as you can. You also need to avoid as many tornadoes as possible. Courses also contain hidden shortcuts that you can only find going through booster rings. When you see "Locked On" or "Danger" at the bottom of your screen, this is the indicator to press to defend yourself from attacks. In each of the four courses, there are shields you may pick up to protect you from other racers as well as tornadoes. These come in handy, so be on the look out for them.
It should be noted that while playing as Terra or Ventus if successfully attack another racer, you will gain a temporary speed boost. Aqua does not have this ability, but she has a longer ranged attack to make up for the lacking boost.

There are four different tracks you can race on in this game. In Disney Town, each track has a prize, depending on whether or not you can make the top 3 of the race. Below is the list of races, what prize you get in Disney Town, as well as what time you need to finish in order to get the medals for the arena portion of it.

Course Top 3 Prize Arena Target Time
Country Chase Hi-Potion 5 laps in 2:30
Disney Drive Fire Dash 5 laps in 5:00
Grand Spree Aerora 5 laps in 5:00
Castle Circuit Victory Line 5 laps in 5:30

While you are racing, you will be using a different styled glider than what you use to traverse between worlds. They act the same as your usual gliders, but they have a much different coloring. This could be done to make you more easy to see on teh tracks, or just for the fun of it. Either way, here are the three different gliders that you will be using.
