vampire killer character simon belmontSimon Belmont comes from a very long line of Vampire slayers. His name is synonimous with the destruction of unholy minions. His family's fame became his fame, and when Count Dracula emmerged, Simon took up the fight.
He journeyed to the home of the legendary Count, and was immediately confronted with the evils of this once grand castle. It seemed as though the count himself was raising the dead, and sending them to stop Simon.
Dracula stopped at nothing to rid himself of Simon. Calling upon the greatest evils there were, his minions Grim Reaper, Frankenstien, Medusa, and his mummy's were placed to prevent Simon from finding him.
Simon conquered these unholy demons, and finally met the one whom the people dreaded. They fought a epic battle, in which Simon came out the victor.
Before Dracula fell, he placed a curse on the Belmont name. But that is another story....

Simon Belmont is one of the most known of the Belmont clan. He is the first to be seen in America, with the introduction of Castlevania. He also is the main character in Castlevania II, IV, Vampire Killer, Akumajo Dracula, and Chronicles. His appearance changes from game to game as well. Some of his changes include his clothing, hair color, and armor. There are also a few games, where he is seen wearing a Bandana.
His weapon of choice is his whips, the legendary killers of the evil and undead in the Belmont clan. Though he can seek aid in the form of Sub-weapons.

vampire killer character merchantThese mysterious people are scattered throughout the castle. They can either be in plain sight, or hidden inside structural places. When you get their attention, they will sell you items for hearts. If you have the White Book, the caost of hearts decreases. With the black book, the cost will increase. This, to my knowledge, is the first time there has been a merchant in the Castlevania Universe.
